Dr. Venu Vemuri is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon whose practice
includes general orthopedics as well as treatment of all surgical and non-surgical
conditions of the neck and spine, including degenerative arthritic conditions, disk
herniations, stenosis, spondylolithesis, fractures, deformities, tumors, and infection. Dr.
Vemuri completed his training at the renowned Kenton D. Leatherman Spine Fellowship
in Louisville, Kentucky where he received advanced training in neurosurgical and
orthopedic treatment of all spinal disorders. Dr. Vemuri has advanced training and
interest in minimally invasive and motion sparing surgery of the spine and interventional pain management.
Dr. Vemuri completed his medical education at Chicago College of Osteopathic
Medicine/Midwestern University where he was awarded the Orthopedic Student of the
Year for excellence in orthopedics his senior year. After medical school he completed
the Midwestern University Orthopedic Surgery Residency where he served as chief
resident in his final year.
An accomplished cellist, Dr. Vemuri received a bachelors degree in cello performance
from Lawrence Conservatory of Music and a masters degree in cello performance from
the world renowned Indiana University School of Music.
Dr. Vemuri is board eligible in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the American
Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association.
